On May 22nd, the Needham Community Farm (NCF) broke ground at our new location off Pine Street. Over 40 volunteers, children and adults, spent the day building raised beds, to be used for educational programs at the site. The Needham Community Farm hosted a 350.org “International Work Party” last week which was co-sponsored by the Green Needham Collaborative and First Parish Church. “Work party” volunteers helped winterize the NCF pilot gardens by layering newspapers and hay over the vegetable beds.
