DESCRIPTION:A film to be shown at First Parish in Needham\, 23 Dedham Ave.\, tells the uplifting story of a town in Canada that won the right to ban toxic lawn pesticides and the court case that went all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the film will be shown at 7:15 p.m.  The film will be followed by a discussion and Q and A with 3 panelists. \n\nChip Osborne\, founder of Osborne Organics\, LLC. has over 10 years experience in creating safe\, sustainable and healthy athletic fields and landscapes\, and 35 years experience as a professional horticulturist.\nSara Wylie is the Director of Toxics and Health Research at the Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science (PLOTS).\nEllen Fine is the Founder and Director of The LEAH Collective\, a grassroots pesticides awareness organization that promotes organic\, permaculture alternatives in land care and gardening.\n\nLearn how to reduce synthetic pesticide and fertilizer use as a means to help prevent cancer\, ADD/ADHD\, asthma\, adverse reproductive health problems and Parkinson’s Disease and other health concerns associated with pesticide use and exposure.
