The owner/designer/builder will present a slide show illustrating the important design considerations\, construction details\, and the finished home. The presentation will also cover the cost of the construction\, how the home has performed over the three years\, what it is like to live in it\, and what mistakes were made that could be avoided – and answer the question of whether solar energy really works. DESCRIPTION:Dear Needham Supporters of the Bay Colony Rail Trail\, \nIt’s been almost three years since the rail trail in Needham was developed. These days\, the trail is used regularly by runners\, cyclists\, walkers and more. \nIt has been a great success\, but the trail has recently become somewhat overgrown along the edges. So we’re looking for volunteers to participate in a trail clearing day on Saturday\, October 13th\, as part of the Town-wide Fall clean-up effort. \nWe will meet at the Redwing Bay parking lot at 10:00 and the cleanup effort will end at 1:00. You may participate for any length of time – even an hour will help! The Town will provide some pruning tools and gloves\, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own. Long pants and gloves are recommended. \nIf you have some time to volunteer next Saturday\, please send a note to James Goldstein and/or Tad Staley. \nThanks for your support!

DESCRIPTION:On January 24\, hundreds of members of the Mass Power Forward coalition will descend on Beacon Hill to demand that our legislators do everything they can to promote a clean energy future. \nThe stakes have never been higher. With climate deniers running the show in Washington\, DC\, we NEED Massachusetts to step up and lead. Make a plan to join us on Thursday\, January 24. Massachusetts residents from every part of the state will meet with their Representatives and Senators to fight for clean energy and environmental justice. \nLocation: TBD\, near the Statehouse. \nRSVP here to join us. \nTentative Schedule for Lobby Day 2019: \n\n11:00AM – 12:00PM: Speakers on Mass Power Forward\, our vision for the coming session\, and our legislative priorities\n12:00PM -12:30PM: Prepare for meetings. MPF leaders available to answer questions.\n12:30PM – 3:00PM: Head over the State House for meetings with state senators and representatives!\n\nIf you’ve never lobbied before\, don’t be nervous!
