It may not be the holiday weekend we’re used to\, here in Needham\, but it’s hard to feel bad about all the wonderful produce coming in fresh to the market! This weekend\, you’ll find more of your favorite vendors (don’t forget to pre-order!):\nAmir’s Natural Foods \nChestnut Farms \nFlores de Cafe \nLe Petit Four \n(Le Petit Four pre-order deadline: Friday at noon) \nMacArthur Farm \nThe Neighborhood Farm \n(The Neighborhood Farm pre-order deadline: Friday at 6am) \n\n\n\nWe also want to make sure you know what to expect when visiting the market\, so take a minute to preview some of our market rules below: \n\nPre-ordering – We encourage you to check out our vendors’ online ordering systems and place orders for pickup at the market.\nStaying home if you’re sick – You’re probably used to hearing this\, but in the interest of health and safety\, staying home when ill is the best option. If you still want some farmers market fun\, opt for online and delivery options instead.\nWearing a mask – Upon entering the market area\, all must wear a mask or other clean facial covering that covers both nose and mouth.\nAdults only and no pets – We love seeing the entire family\, but at this time\, we request that you leave the little ones and the four-legged friends at home.\nPracticing social distancing and observing lane markings – We ask that you maintain the space between yourself and others and that you follow our implemented pathways on market day (don’t worry\, we’ll provide more details on this soon so you won’t miss a thing!)\nYou point\, we pick – This is a NO TOUCH market. DESCRIPTION:Did you know that the exhaust from single stroke engines contains PM2.5\, shorthand for particulate matter that is 2.5 microns in size\, which hangs in the air a long time and lodges in lung tissue.*  Use of this equipment by landscaping services and homeowners in Needham is widespread\, and affects all of us. \nTo learn more about this issue\, join Sustainable Wellesley for a conversation about how lawn care practices impact public health. Jamie L. Banks\, PhD\, MS and founder of Quiet Communities\, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to protecting public health\, the environment\, and quality of life by reducing noise and related pollution\, has worked with over 30 towns to mediate discussions with residents\, professionals and town officials. With input from a panel of experts\, including Dan Mabe of American Green Zones Alliance (AGZA)\,  Banks will share ways her work has led to cleaner\, quieter living in towns including Lexington and Concord\, MA\, Southampton\, NY and Chevy Chase\, MD. \nSpace is limited\, so Register for the webinar now.
