Solarize Plus Needham program are denoted by a yellow sun marker.  Click on a marker for contact information.  <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.3em;\">\nAs of January 2021, there were over <b class=\"c\">625<\/b> residential and small commercial solar PV systems installed in Needham. This map shows about <b>400<\/b> of those systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.3em;\">The installed systems total <b class=\"c\">6 megawatts<\/b> of capacity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.3em;\">\nScroll or use the +\/- (zoom) button to navigate the map.  Click on the icons to see the location, size and date the system began operating.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.0em;\">\n<b>Notes on the information:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Information from the New England Power Pool Generation Information System (NEPOOL GIS) was used to create this map.  The NEPOOL GIS issues and tracks certificates for the production of renewable energy in New England.  Cross-referencing this information allows mapping of most, but not all, installed systems participating in the SREC and SREC-II programs, which ran through the end of 2018.<\/li>\n<li>The information gathered changed with the start of the SMART solar incentive program in January, 2019.
