Green Needham, in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Needham and Mothers Out Front Needham, researched electricity aggregation and the programs adopted by our neighboring towns. We created a <\/span>document that provides a detailed overview of electricity aggregation programs<\/span><\/a> and submitted it to the Select Board and other town officials in January, 2022. Because of the substantial benefits to be gained, we requested that the Town enter into an aggregation contract for the residents and businesses of Needham.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

cThe Select Board referred the idea to the Climate Action Plan Committee, which recommended that the Town move ahead with an aggregation program. Town Meeting subsequently authorized the program in October 2022.<\/p>\n

The Needham Power Choice program launched in March, 2025. Needham Power Choice offers three electricity supply choices, including Needham 100% Green<\/b>, providing 100% of your electricity from new renewable sources in the New England region. All three supply choices provide stable pricing through March 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n
