(A driver\u2019s license or <abbr>RTS\u00a0<\/abbr>disposal sticker are required as proof of residency.) They take items such as mothballs, pesticides, weed killer, pool chemicals, photography chemicals, and acids. <a href=\"http:\/\/ma-needham2.civicplus.com\/index.aspx?NID=265\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">See details for date and acceptable materials<\/a>.\u00a0 The\u00a0 event is held at the DPW,\u00a0 470 Dedham Avenue\u00a0 &#8211; Enter at DeFazio Field.<\/p>\n<p>The Town of Needham has also entered into reciprocal agreements with 12 other local municipalities for Household Hazardous Waste collection. A fee will be assessed when bringing hazardous waste to a town where you are not a resident. They accept gently used household items such as kitchen items and linens and towels (ones that you would give to family or a friend), and make them available at no charge to those in need. To access their <a href=\"https:\/\/newlifefb.org\/give-furniture\/what-we-accept\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donation guidelines<\/a> for various types of household items, click on the donation category in the left column.<\/p>\n<p>See their <a href=\"https:\/\/newlifefb.org\/give-furniture\/drop-off\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">drop-off guidelines<\/a> designed to keep everyone safe.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.needhamma.gov\/index.aspx?NID=262\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RTS Needham<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Residents with an RTS sticker can drop off household items in good working order at the Reuse-It Swap Shop, a volunteer-run area at the RTS where residents can &#8216;give and take&#8217; items. All items must be approved by volunteers before being dropped off. See <a href=\"http:\/\/ma-needham2.civicplus.com\/index.aspx?NID=3111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guidelines and drop-off hours<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.savers.com\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Savers<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>(617) 323-9213, 1230 VFW Pkwy. West Roxbury, MA<\/p>\n<p>The West Roxbury store is a donation location for the EPILEPSY FOUNDATION. They accept donations of house wares, CDs, DVDs, tapes, vinyl records, as well as clothing, sports equipment, and other items for reuse.
