To achieve their mission, they engage children and adults in activities that provide locally, sustainably grown food to the community, while inspiring an appreciation of how the environment is directly related to our wellbeing. Since 2008, the farm has donated thousands of pounds of produce to the Needham Community Council Food Pantry, and their\u00a0Mobile Market\u00a0 distributes our produce at four Needham Housing Authority sites.<\/p>\n The Food Project<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Creates a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system. Each year, The Food Project hires 140 teens, grows 200,000 lbs. of food, and donates more than 180,000 servings of fresh produce to hunger relief organizations across eastern Massachusetts.<\/p>\n Resources<\/p>\n\n
