The changes are primarily to <b class=\"c\">how and when residents interact at the RTS<\/b>. The restrictions on what can be disposed are mostly unchanged from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/2020\/03\/waste-disposal-and-recycling-during-the-covid-19-response\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">those described in our March 30th article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please note the following important changes and requests from the RTS to protect the safety and health of staff and Needham residents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b class=\"c\">Residents are encouraged to visit the RTS during non-peak hours and on days other than Saturday.<\/b> Saturdays continue to be very busy, making social distancing a challenge. If you can deliver your waste on other days, that would be appreciated.<\/li>\n<li>The <b>number of vehicles that may enter the RTS at any one time will be limited<\/b>. No more than 18 vehicles will be allowed in the trash\/recycling area at once. No more than 6 vehicles will be allowed in the yard waste area at once.<\/li>\n<li>There will be <b>two lanes of traffic to enter the RTS<\/b> \u2013 one lane to the left will be for vehicles going straight to yard waste. The right lane will be for residents disposing of trash and recyclables.<\/li>\n<li><b>Bulky waste will no longer be accepted<\/b> until resumption of normal business. Bulky waste are objects too big to fit in the yellow Pay As You Throw bags (items cleaned out from basements and garages for example)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, contractors will not be allowed to utilize the RTS on Saturdays until the resumption of normal business.<\/p>\n<p>These changes were announced today, Thursdsay April 2nd.
