Soon the world will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day,\u00a0 which was held on\u00a0 April 22, 1970. This anniversary, in the middle of a pandemic, will be an Earth Day like no other, and it may be the most creative we have ever experienced. \u00a0With no rallies, no get-togethers, no work projects, and no meetings with legislators, there will still be many opportunities to join with others locally and around the world for inspiration and virtual celebrations.<\/p>\n

And now that the Town of Needham has announced the extension of the Solarize Mass Plus<\/a> program to May 31, 2020, there is still time to educate yourself about clean energy technology and make appointments to take advantage of discounted pricing for solar panels and air source heat pumps, as well as electric vehicles.<\/p>\n
