charge on the Eversource bills of all<br \/>\nBusiness customers, so don&#8217;t miss out &#8211; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">take advantage of this cost-saving program<\/span>.\u00a0 Learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/small-business-energy-savers-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">assessment process.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <em><strong>VFW Hall in Needham<\/strong><\/em> recently took advantage of\u00a0 the Small Business Energy Efficiency Program with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aecomenergyne.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AECOM<\/a>, Mass Save&#8217;s subcontractor for Needham businesses and non-profits.\u00a0 After a no-cost energy assessment, which can be in-person or virtual, the following energy-saving improvements were made:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>All exterior and interior lighting was upgraded to LED technology<\/li>\n<li>Energy conservation devices were installed on the hot water system to save gas<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The <em><strong>total<\/strong> <\/em>cost of the work was <em><strong>$17,600<\/strong><\/em>, with <em><strong>100%<\/strong> \u00a0<\/em>of that cost <em><strong>paid<\/strong> \u00a0<\/em>by Eversource.\u00a0 \u00a0<em><strong>Savings\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> on the VFW&#8217;s annual utility bills are estimated to be <em><strong>$5,000\/year<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Bill Byrnes, Property Manager, spearheaded the project for the VFW, which was completed in March 2021.\u00a0 Bill and the VFW are very happy with how it worked out!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13590\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13590\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/AECom-pic-IMG_0121-resized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13590 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/AECom-pic-IMG_0121-resized-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/AECom-pic-IMG_0121-resized-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/AECom-pic-IMG_0121-resized-270x270.jpg 270w, https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/AECom-pic-IMG_0121-resized-230x230.jpg 230w, https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/AECom-pic-IMG_0121-resized-45x45.jpg 45w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13590\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">AECOM technician working in Needham<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em><strong>Find out how <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">your<\/span> business can save money and energy &#8211;
