rates <em><strong>effective Jan. 1, 2023<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 The <em><strong>average<\/strong> <\/em>cost of residential electricity will <em><strong>increase<\/strong> <\/em><strong><em>by<\/em> 33%<\/strong>\u00a0 (from $0.30\/KWH to $0.40\/KWH).\u00a0 This is primarily due to higher cost of natural gas, which is the main energy source for electricity in New England.<\/p>\n<p>With these higher electricity rates and the renewed 30% Investment Tax Credit, the return on investment for <em><strong>solar<\/strong> <\/em>power has <em><strong>never<\/strong> <strong>been better<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 \u00a0For homes with a good solar exposure, you can recoup your investment in 4-6 years, depending on the site.<\/p>\n<p>Go to our <a
