In the light of a federal administration determined to undermine climate action, state and local action is more important than ever.\u00a0 For cities and towns, this undertaking will bring not only challenges but also tremendous opportunities as they strive to transition away from fossil fuels in a just and fair way that benefits all <\/strong>residents. It is our responsibility to ensure that our elected officials understand the stakes, and take actions that will accelerate our progress toward a fair and equitable transition for all stakeholders<\/p>\n

In advance of the April 8 Needham Town Election, Green Needham has reached out to candidates and is pleased to share their responses to our questions on energy, climate, and housing sustainability.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

We invite you to read the responses of the Select Board<\/b> <\/a>and Planning Board<\/b><\/a> candidates, and to share them widely with friends and neighbors.\u00a0 If you receive this in an e-mail, please forward it.\u00a0 If you read this on our site, use the social media tools at the bottom of this article or the pages with the answers to encourage as many Needham residents as possible to gain a fuller understanding of the candidates they are about to elect to these very important town-wide offices.<\/p>\n
