{"id":2721,"date":"2013-01-05T17:20:28","date_gmt":"2013-01-05T22:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/?p=2721"},"modified":"2013-07-09T18:19:59","modified_gmt":"2013-07-09T22:19:59","slug":"green-needham-creates-new-home-energy-savings-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/2013\/01\/green-needham-creates-new-home-energy-savings-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Green Needham Creates new Home Energy Savings Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To advance our goal of<strong> reducing energy use<\/strong> in Needham homes, Green Needham has created a new team, the <strong>Home Energy Savings Team<\/strong>.\u00a0 This team will build on our success with the NStar Community Home Energy Challenge, during which we increased the number of homeowners participating in Mass Save&reg; programs to reduce energy use. The team will continue our collaboration with Next Step Living, our partner in delivering the <strong> no-cost energy assessments<\/strong> and follow-on savings measures available through the Mass Save program. <\/p>\n<p>The<strong> no-cost energy assessment<\/strong> is the gateway to many other energy savings opportunities for homeowners.  The\u00a0Home Energy Savings Team will build on Green Needham&#8217;s past success of\u00a0<strong>500 home energy assessments performed,<\/strong>\u00a0and has set a\u00a0goal\u00a0of <strong>1,000 completed assessments<\/strong>.\u00a0 The Team will also seek to increase the number of people who have insulation or other follow-up work done after their home energy audit.\u00a0 In addition, the Team will seek to <strong>educate residents<\/strong> about larger energy-saving undertakings\u00a0such as boiler replacements, and the use of newer technologies to achieve additional energy savings in their homes.
