Dog Day Returns to Needham Farmers Market along with Fall Produce<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

This Sunday, September 14<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup><\/span>, the Needham Farmers Market welcomes the return of fall crops. <\/span>The Neighborhood Farm\u00a0will be featuring delicata and butternut squashes, and a variety of potatoes, garlic, and onions. Also greens and lettuces will be coming in more abundantly.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MacArthur Farm<\/span>\u00a0will have\u00a0locally grown watermelon, peaches, apples, raspberries, and cantaloupe all of which are picked the morning of the market. Also shoppers will not want to miss the \u201cMac Dozen\u201d corn deal, 14 ears of corn for $3. Both farms have a wide variety of produce including heirloom tomatoes.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Playful Pup is sponsoring Dog Day this Sunday. There will be lots of fun activities for dogs and kids alike. An agility play area will be set up to let dogs test out their skills on weave poles, jumps, and other activities. For kids, there will be face painting, a coloring table, and space to decorate their own PUPcake with dog-safe frosting to bring home for their furry friends. Goods for a local dog shelter will also be collected at the Manager\u2019s Tent. The items we can take are: old or new (clean) sheets, towels, or blankets, new and gently used dog toys, especially ropes or kongs, and of course dog treats! Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be put to good use.\u00a0Please remember that all friendly dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Doug Robinson with musical impressions <\/span>is this week\u2019s featured, live musical performance sponsored by Not Your Average Joe\u2019s Kitchen and Bar Needham.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Local artists Karen Fintonis and Jordan Fuller <\/span><\/span>will be at the market showcasing and selling their work. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
