{"id":12656,"date":"2020-11-02T20:53:24","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T01:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=12656"},"modified":"2020-11-02T20:53:24","modified_gmt":"2020-11-03T01:53:24","slug":"fundraiser-featuring-the-biggest-little-farm-film-viewing-period","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.greenneedham.org\/blog\/event\/fundraiser-featuring-the-biggest-little-farm-film-viewing-period\/","title":{"rendered":"Fundraiser Featuring &#8220;The Biggest Little Farm&#8221; film-Viewing Period"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Can 200 acres of barren farmland be turned into a productive farm in harmony with nature? <b class=\"c\">Here is an opportunity to see the inspirational, award-winning documentary THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM <u>and<\/u> support the Needham Community Farm, which provides fresh, locally grown produce to neighbors who experience food insecurity. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Donate at least $10 to the Needham Community Farm, and you will receive a link and password for the film, which will be available for viewing on a computer (or TV if you have a laptop\/TV or phone\/TV connection) anytime between <strong>6 p.m. Saturday, November 14 and 6 p.m. Sunday, November 15.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will also get an invitation to a follow-up Zoom session on <strong>Monday, November 16 at 7-8 p.m., <\/strong>which will include a film discussion and update on the Needham Community Farm, as well as a presentation by Needham resident Babette Wils, who will describe her own sustainable &#8220;farming with nature&#8221; projects in her Needham backyard and in Western Mass.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.needhamfarm.org\/events\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here to register<\/a> (to get access to the link\/password and Zoom invitation). <strong>Act soon!<\/strong> There is a limit of 50 registrations.<\/p>\n<p>THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM documents the quest to bring a piece of land back to life by creating a flourishing and diverse ecosystem that supports food production. Featuring breathtaking cinematography, captivating animals, and an urgent message to heed Mother Nature\u2019s call, the film provides a vital blueprint for better living and a healthier planet.<\/p>\n<p>For parents: The film is rated PG for mild thematic elements, including pictures of dead chickens and ducks, killed by coyotes.
