\nVolunteers Needed!<\/p>\n
The New England Aquarium is coming to Newman for Earth Day! This year\u2019s Earth Day theme is water, so we\u2019ve invited the Aquarium to bring its \u201cWhale Day Program\u201d to our school. The program consists of 12 interactive exhibits about whales and other marine animals, as well as a 16-foot high, 42-foot long life-size inflatable right whale called Calvin. The program will be set up on the tennis courts (weather permitting), which will be transformed into a colorful \u201cNewman Ocean!\u201d<\/p>\n
The Newman Earth Day Committee is planning an amazing day for our children but, we need you to \u201cdive in\u201d and make this a success! Each station of the exhibit requires adult supervision. We need a minimum of 24 volunteers (at least 12 per shift) to cover the following two shifts:<\/p>\n
Shift 1: 8:30am to 12:00pm
\nShift 2: 11:30am to 3:00pm<\/p>\n
