“Water Rising – The Impact on Humanity” Lecture

Women Working for Oceans (W2O), in partnership with the New England Aquarium, will present “Water Rising: The Impact on Humanity on April 9 in Boston. This event includes a special free lecture at 11am in the Aquarium’s Simons IMAX® Theater, followed by a ticketed, limited-seating luncheon. National Geographic Photographer George Steinmetz will take the audience on a photographic look at how sea level rise affects coastal communities, rich and poor, around the world. Erika Spanger-Siegfri​ed, a Senior Analyst at the Union of Concerned Scientists, will review the basic concepts behind warming oceans, rising sea levels and human’s contribution to this critical global issue. We would like to extend a special invitation to you (and, if applicable, your group of interested associates or students) to attend the lecture portion of our event at 11:00 am as our guest. Please RSVP before March 27 by responding to this email with the names of those that would like to attend the free lecture. We are happy for you to pass this invitation on to colleagues but all guests must pre-register for this event. Space is limited!
