Dear Needham Supporters of the Bay Colony Rail Trail,

It’s been almost three years since the rail trail in Needham was developed. These days, the trail is used regularly by runners, cyclists, walkers and more.

It has been a great success, but the trail has recently become somewhat overgrown along the edges. So we’re looking for volunteers to participate in a trail clearing day on Saturday, October 13th, as part of the Town-wide Fall clean-up effort.

We will meet at the Redwing Bay parking lot at 10:00 and the cleanup effort will end at 1:00. You may participate for any length of time – even an hour will help! The Town will provide some pruning tools and gloves, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own. Long pants and gloves are recommended.
