The Select Board will hold a public hearing on a proposed Tree By-law at their meeting on Tuesday, September 8 at 6 pm. All residents and community members are invited to attend and share their feedback on the proposal.

The By-law was drafted by the Tree Preservation Planning Committee (TPPC). Find the draft By-law and a summary of the TPPC’s work and community forums on the Town’s website. The Select Board will consider advancing the proposed by-law to the October 2026 Special Town Meeting.

The September 8 hearing will be held in the Select Board Chambers at Needham Town Hall, 1471 Highland Avenue, with the option to participate via Zoom.

There are 3 ways to provide feedback at a Public Hearing:

1. Attend the meeting in person and speak
2. Attend the meeting by Zoom and raise your virtual hand to ask to speak.
