Are you interested in reducing your home heating, cooling, and electricity bills while also lowering your carbon footprint? Solarize Plus Needham is up and running, with an important Meet the Installer event coming up on Thursday, September 26, 7:00 pm at Needham Town Hall.
Please join us to find out how residents can take advantage of discounted pricing on Rooftop Solar and on Air Source Heat Pumps which will both heat and cool a home. Additionally, the event will include information about electric cars as part of the Drive Green program of the Green Energy Consumers Alliance. 
The September 26th event will feature the two companies that were chosen as installer partners after a careful vetting process.
- Boston Solar will present rooftop PV technology, why people are installing it, and how it benefits the environment and your wallet. They will also explain how the current Massachusetts incentive program works.
- N.E.T.R. Inc. will present information about air source heat pump technologies, the ways heat pumps are used in homes today and the many current rebates available.
Consultants from both companies will be available for individual questions.
Additionally, a representative from Green Energy Consumers Alliance will discuss the discounts available through their Drive Green program.
This is Needham’s second Solarize Mass program. The first, in 2014, resulted in the installation of more than 100 solar PV systems in just over a year. There are currently 450 solar PV installations in Needham.
Solarize Plus Needham is a partnership between the Town of Needham, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, the Mass. Department of Energy Resources, and local volunteers organized by Green Needham.
