There are many ways to celebrate spring and honor the Earth in April and May.

Native Plant Sale

Enhance the beauty of your garden and help sustain pollinators by adding native plants to your garden. The Temple Beth Shalom Environmental Committee has partnered with the Needham Community Farm and Green Needham to sponsor a Native Plant Sale, offering three native plant collections for sale – one for sun, one for shade, and one for mixed sun/shade. Plant collections must be pre-ordered, and will be available for pick-up in Needham on May 21st. CLICK HERE to go to the Native Plant Sale website

Park and Trail Clean-ups

On Saturday, April 30, Needham High School’s Environmental Club will sponsor a town forest clean-up from noon- 2 p.m., starting at Claxton Field (where the NHS Boosters sell Christmas trees, across from the RTS). Trash bags and gloves will be provided.

Needham’s Spring Town-wide Clean Up will be on the same weekend — Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1. For details about picking up materials and to register, CLICK HERE.

Also, on Saturday, April 30, you may stop by the Rosemary Recreation Complex to pick up a free tree sapling between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
