Have you ever wanted to know who the team is behind Green Needham, and find out what they’re currently working on?

Come join the Green Needham Virtual Open House on Thursday, June 9th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm (on Zoom).  This webinar is open to anyone who wishes to find out more about Green Needham. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and even volunteer to support specific projects.

Green Needham volunteers will be presenting updates on a number of our key projects, organized by theme.  The intent of the webinar is informational, but we hope that it may inspire some individuals who have never volunteered before to get involved.

The webinar will begin with a brief introduction to Green Needham and the context for our work: the climate change crisis and the actions that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Town of Needham have committed to in response to that crisis.

The volunteers will then briefly introduce several key initiatives that are at various degrees of progress in Needham, including

     – Town of Needham’s Climate Action Plan
     – Community Electricity Aggregation
     – Net Zero Energy Buildings
     – Solar Canopies & Public EV Charging
     – Home Energy Assessments and Massachusetts Heat Pump programs
     – Zero Waste Initiatives

The webinar will include time for questions and, for those who might want to explore specific topics in greater depth, we will include virtual breakout rooms to end the webinar.

Participation in the webinar is free, but pre-registration is required to receive the Zoom link.
