Eversource recently published their electric rates effective Jan. 1, 2023.  The average cost of residential electricity will increase by 33%  (from $0.30/KWH to $0.40/KWH).  This is primarily due to higher cost of natural gas, which is the main energy source for electricity in New England.

With these higher electricity rates and the renewed 30% Investment Tax Credit, the return on investment for solar power has never been better.   For homes with a good solar exposure, you can recoup your investment in 4-6 years, depending on the site.

Go to our “Ask the Expert” page to request an on-site evaluation to see if your home is a good candidate for solar.
