Have you noticed that the conversation around climate change has gone quiet, especially at the federal level? Others have noticed, too!
The Massachusetts chapter of Elders Climate Action (ECA Mass) is helping with the national campaign Climate Summer: Too Hot to Ignore. The campaign’s objective is to make climate a more visible issue leading up to the November election and to demonstrate to congressional leaders that there is broad grassroots support for bold climate action.
As part of the campaign, Green Needham and ECA Mass will jointly host a sign-holding event in Needham town center on Wednesday, August 19, from 5:30-6:30pm, immediately following the weekly Needham Resists democracy standout.
Please join us for this action! We will provide signs, although you are welcome to bring your own climate-themed message. We plan to take photos at the event and get them to Jake Auchincloss, our representative, and to congressional leadership. Sign up now or just come!
