Discussion: a Revenue-neutral Carbon Tax as a “Good Tax”

November 19, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Come hear some of Boston’s preeminent scholars, economists and activists explain how a revenue-neutral carbon tax could revolutionize our economy and unite Republicans and Democrats in the fight against climate change.  Could such a tax accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy and help in the fight against climate change? The speakers will describe policy mechanisms for pricing carbon and their relative advantages and disadvantages, and what role there is for citizens and residents.  Co-sponsored by The League of Women Voters and the Citizens Climate Lobby, it’s free and open to the public.
