Program Details

Join us for an eye-opening conversation about the world of plastic, including how it’s manufactured and why production has recently increased.   We will discuss the challenges of recycling plastic and explore the harmful effects of plastic pollution on our environment and human health.  The talk will include simple ways for the citizens of Needham to take an active role in reducing plastic production and consumption.  Our speaker, Kathy Raiz, from the Beyond Plastic’s Speaker’s Bureau and Green Needham’s Plastic Waste Reduction Team, is excited to chat with you about how to make our community more sustainable.
