The Green Needham Foundation, a Massachusetts not-for-profit corporation established in October, 2008, has been awarded tax-exempt status as a public charity under section 501(c)3 of the IRS code. The Foundation was created to support sustainability education and outreach in Needham

Energy Star Rebates – coming (and going?) soon

A new round of Energy Star rebates to encourage consumers is coming soon – but these are funded by the stimulus program for this year, so they will probably not last long.

Announcing Needham in Motion

Several groups in town – including Green Needham – have come together to promote a campaign this spring called Needham in Motion. The town-wide campaign will take place in May, and will consist of a set of activities and events designed to encourage residents to leave their cars at home on short trips and instead walk, hike, bike or take the T.
